We are pleased to announce the official release of the GLPI AI 2.0 plugin.
This new version is a complete rewrite of GLPI's artificial intelligence plugin. Built on top of the Symfony AI bundle, it has been designed to deliver smooth, sovereign and customizable assistance at the heart of the daily work of support teams and IT asset managers.
A redesigned integration at the core of your ITSM processes
GLPI AI 2.0 integrates directly into your usual working interface to support ticket handling, knowledge base enrichment and asset management.
1. Chat assistant and quick actions
An interactive virtual assistant is now available from tickets, assets and knowledge base articles. The assistant reads the item's content using GLPI's internal tools, builds its answer from that specific context and streams the result back to you.
One-click quick actions let you launch common requests directly:
- Explain an issue or a procedure.
- Summarize a complex discussion thread.
- Suggest a suitable resolution.
- Prepare a draft reply.
2. Automatic triage and semantic search
To cut down the time spent on the initial qualification of requests, the plugin provides a triage assistance tool:
- One-click qualification: a ticket's category, urgency and impact can be suggested automatically.
- Vector store and similar items: each ticket can be summarized and vectorized as soon as it is created. This enables efficient semantic search and displays related tickets or knowledge base articles, along with a relevance score and the reasoning behind each match.
3. TinyMCE editor tools and voice dictation
When writing, a dedicated icon in the TinyMCE editor lets you rework your text immediately:
- Correction and proofreading.
- Rephrasing and simplification.
- Tone adjustment or message summary.
- Voice dictation: a built-in microphone lets you enter comments or replies by voice.
4. MCP server (Model Context Protocol)
The tools used by GLPI's internal assistant are also exposed through a built-in MCP server. This allows external MCP clients (such as Claude Desktop, VS Code and others) to interact directly with your GLPI instance to meet your automation needs.
Data sovereignty and freedom of choice (BYOK)
One of the founding principles of GLPI AI 2.0 is the freedom to choose your AI models and providers (Bring Your Own Keys, or BYOK). You keep full control over your API keys and the confidentiality of your data.
- Multi-provider: native compatibility with Mistral, Ollama, OpenAI, Anthropic, Google Gemini, Azure AI and more.
- Per-feature configuration: you can set a default model or assign different models to different tasks (for example, a lightweight model for simple actions and a more powerful one for complex analysis).
- Setup wizard: right after installation, a guided setup helps you select your providers, configure access rights and enable the features you need.

The GLPI AI 2.0 plugin is available today on the GLPI Marketplace. It is included in all GLPI Network subscriptions.
