We are very happy to announce the birth of the first release candidate of the v0.84 : GLPI-0.84-RC1.

We want to thanks all of you who work on the beta-test to debug or to translate GLPI.

First of all !!! WARNING !!! this version is not the final version of the 0.84.

Its aim is to allow you to test it and to find remaining bugs. We do not advise you to use this version in production.

You can download this version with the download section.

You could contribute at that time of final debug by testing this version and by making reviews of all bugs or problems that you encountered by using it. You can do it directly on the mailing-list (glpi-dev prefered) or using the forum section bug beta tests

GLPI 0.84 Beta-Test / plugin ocsinventoryng : new Bug hunter contest

We enter in the beta-test period of the 0.84 version of GLPI.

This new version includes new features: review networking management, RSS feeds, improvement of recurrent tickets and SLAs, gettext migration, review cost management, recall on planning events… For more details see the detailed change log.

To allow separated development cycles, the OCS/GLPI connection is now available via a plugin.

On this occasion, we invite you to install and thoroughly test the beta version of GLPI 0.84 in participating in the Game “bug hunter”.

Each bug report validated by the development team gives you a chance to win a mysterious gift. Everyone has a chance!

Bug reports should be done only in the beta section of the forum.

We remind you that this version is not a stable release and should not be used in production.

GLPI millionaire?

The GLPI project has become a millionaire these days!

Not in dollars of course, but in downloaded versions since our counter just exceed the one million downloads (1,000,488 exactly at the time of writing this article).

Of course this figure does not include installations done using packages provided by distributions such as Debian, Ubuntu, Fedora, FreeBSD etc. .. and many of GLPI integration in other projects (EON, QNAP, JumpBox etc ....).

The real number must be much higher but the truth is out there.

No doubt this number will see a further increase since the release of 0.83 is upcoming.
